THOMAS

is a Philadelphia-based designer and illustrator, leading Chop Shop Studio. His work frequently explores science and space-related themes, highlighted by his 2016 collaborations with The Planetary Society and SETI Institute. Before this, Thomas was at the forefront of web design from the early days of the internet. In 2003, his role as partner and principal creative at The Chopping Block—a New York City studio founded in 1996—led to the studio's feature in Cooper Hewitt’s National Design Triennial. The Chopping Block also garnered numerous accolades, including honors from ID Magazine, The One Show, How magazine, Art Directors Club, and Communication Arts, among others.

 

STEPHANIE

is an exhibit designer with 30 years of experience developing award-winning exhibitions. Drawing on her deep understanding of spatial design and narrative, she designs spaces that not only welcome visitors but also leave lasting impressions. At the American Museum of Natural History Stephanie was part of the team responsible for the design of three permanent hall renovations, including the iconic Hall of Ocean Life. As an executive team member at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Stephanie led the museum’s efforts to produce and travel original exhibitions across the country. Most recently she has applied her extensive design expertise to the hospitality field, creating immersive environments that prioritize guest comfort, engagement, and storytelling.

 

STACEY

helps cultural organizations tell complex stories through her work as a creative director, interpretive strategist, and learning scientist. For more than 25 years she has applied an inquiry-based, user-centered design methodology to award-winning solutions at the intersection of pedagogy, exhibition design, digital media, and civic engagement. Her work has been published in Curator: The Museum Journal, Museum Magazine, and Exhibition: The Journal of Museum Exhibition. She is a founding member of The Empathetic Museum and Steering Committee member of Museums and Race, cohorts of museum professionals committed to a more inclusive future for the museum industry.
